EVEN ME was designed to touch African American women 50 and older. This video depicts, through different women's stories, the realities of older women falling victim to the disease. Its purpose is to entertain, educate, provoke, persuade, move and motivate. EVEN ME drives home the awareness of the risk, regardless of age and/or marital status; it educates viewers on preventative measures and stresses the danger in not practicing safe sex.

We as black women have a history of being caregivers at the same time ignoring our own needs. So this is aimed at those mothers, grandmothers, wives and daughters. We believe that having an open dialogue about having unprotected sex in essential. (i.e. How do I introduce a condom after we have been together so many years?) We must open up the doors to these complex issues that continue to plague women of color. With viagra making men feel like they're teenagers again, we need to take control of our own lives and put ourselves first. Our careless actions affect our entire family. The number of black women over the age of 50 being infected is increasing at an enormous rate and these issues need to be addressed. We are confident that this approach will empower women, make them think differently about their actions, and boost their self-esteem. EVEN ME is a full package, you not only have the opportunity to view the video but it is accompanied by a educational workshop. it is by a workshop.
